    Ministry of Education Heritage Centre

MOE Heritage Centre showcases Singapore’s Education Story from the early 19th century to the present. You are part of our Education Story! Come and take a walk through the galleries and let the photographs, old school tuckshop, watchman’s quarters, wooden desks, textbooks, videos and other objects bring you back to your own school days. What was education like when you were a student? How has education evolved ever since you left school? How is education preparing our young for the future?

In developing generations of students, teachers have played an important role in shaping the Nation. Read and listen to the stories about teachers and how they have shown resilience and resourcefulness in nurturing students like you and us to be the best that we can be.

There are other activities for you! Remember playing fivestones, chaptek or congkak? Remember slurping up ayer batu on a hot day or munching kachang puteh? Check these out in the Inspiration Garden on the ground floor. Before you leave, don’t forget to collect some souvenirs to remind you of your school days.
