Kids Activities During the September School Holidays

It is a relatively short school holidays for our Singapore Primary and Secondary students.  Usually after this Term 3 short school holidays, there will be the final year exams. So for most students, it is always not Play and No Work!  Nevertheless, children should be given some time off to enjoy the school holidays and charge up their energy before the final sprint to the end of Term 4.

The Magic Lantern

A thrilling tale of any filial son who braves all probabilities to save his mother!
Based upon an Oriental folktale, The Magic Lantern depicts the story of Chen Xiang, born by a banned marriage between a beautiful goddess and a human. The ever-righteous deity Er Lang Shen disapproves of the matrimony and imprisons Chen Xiang’s mother under a mountain. Determined to rescue her, Chen Xiang sets out to deal with an unattainable battle. Can filial piety and love conquer most?

This modern day adaptation enables children to discover determination and filial piety, through an participating presentation of traditional rod and hand puppetry. Brought to life though theatrical elements and live music performance, children can experience firsthand these kinds of exquisite traditional puppets.
