AMK Park McDonald is the favorite restaurant for family, students and friends who are living nearby Ang Mo Kio. It is opened 24 hours so it also attracted those people who are “nocturnal” and provide a good place to find food after midnight or 24 hours. It is situated within the Ang Mo Kio West Garden and it is usually very crowded. I have visited this McDonald many times and the things that attracted me is the atmosphere of this outlet. It is surrounded by greenery as it is in the park and the non-aircon part of the restaurant is beautifully landscaped with small ponds and waterfall structures.

The restaurant is divided into indoor, outdoor and a children playground. There are some seats in the outdoor portion which is cater for smokers. The outdoor portion is cooled by the ceiling fans and is pleasant and peaceful to enjoy your meals especially the feeling is like eating in open-air in a beautiful garden.

It is easily accessible and is situated opposite Ang Mo Kio Town center along Ang Mo Kio Avenue 6. You can see the big yellow signpost along the road and a carpark just right in front of the restaurant.

The last time I went there for my meal is just last week after our family outing at the newest AMK park playground. It started drizzling around 6pm last Sunday and we have to rush to the nearest shelter. We end up having our dinner in there. I observed many of the families that had visited the outdoor playground were in the same restaurant as well. Definitely, fast-food especially McDonald had easily become the top choice for kids. It is obvious when you see so many children and young teenagers crowding the place.

As usual, you could get all the usual food items in the menu plus there is also the McCafe menu available. One word of warning is that the indoor seats are limited and usually full during weekends and you have to wait to be seated.

Younger children have another reason to visit this restaurant because of the indoor playground situated inside the restaurant. Parents could still sip their cup of cappuccino while having their watchful eyes on the children climbing inside the playground structures.
