School Holidays are not just time for fun but also time to brush up on some school related subjects such as Science, Maths,  English or preparing for PSLE.  These academic workshops are not purely teaching you the subject but injects elements of fun and practical into them and make it actually interesting for kids to study.

1. The Brainy Camp

For: Child  (Age 7 -12)

Your brain is a powerful tool and you can harness and
develop its tremendous capability by experiencing and
understanding “whole brain” learning. You will be led through a session of fun and mind-boggling brain games such as
confidence building games, ice-cream stick puzzles, fun
riddles and tangrams.

2. Spy Maths Adventures

For: Child  (Age 8 – 11)

Children learn maths easily through games. In this workshop, we have created a scenario where children use maths to solve the mystery of the stolen pearl. Through solving math problems, they can outwit the thief to retrieve the pearl, while applying creativity and logical reasoning at the same time.

3. Mutant Heros Science Adventure

For: Child  (Age 6 – 9)

Welcome to the world of mutant heroes! Learn about their powers, the science and the logic within them through
fun and interesting hands-on activities and experiments.
Learn about the weather, mutation and regeneration through
characters like The Incredible Hulk and Storm.

4. Exploring Electronics & Robotics!

For: Child  (Age 9 – 12)

Participants will learn the importance and application of
everyday electronics, the use of microcomputers, basic
robotic control and basic microcontroller programming.
By the end of the session, they will be able to perform
basic soldering to construct a creative electronic E-matrix
display. Notes, basic theory, display kits and electronic
tools are included.

5. Master the Answering Techniques + “Must Know & Apply” Keywords to Score A* in PSLE Science

For: Child  (Taking PSLE next year)  science1

The components are primarily charpter based. Their teachers are working on creating a Science Enrichment Programme incorporating Scentific Experiments with HANDS-ON SKILLS to facilitate a better understanding of Science facts and implementation. The workshop will equip students with useful strategics & tips on how to Score A* in their PSLE Science. To familiarize students with the PSLE Science Paper format, test items & change trends in questioning styles. This workshop will equip students with the practical tips & methods to confidently to score in their Science examination.

When: 11 Dec,  18 Dec 2009.

Duration:  1 day.  Friday from 10am to 6pm.

6. Maths Workshops 2009 – Master Mathematical Concepts – Strategies + Short Cuts + Secrets

For: Child  (Taking PSLE next year)

untitled 1 This workshop will also entails getting students into team groups to analyse, solve and present their solutions on the problems assigned to consolidate their understanding on the strategies introduced. Students will be taught on strategies + short-cut + secrets + techniques of solving challenging math questions and how to master the use of heuristic methods in problem-solving.

When: 12 Dec,  19 Dec 2009.

Duration:  1 day.  Saturday from 10am to 6pm.

7. Complete Success Methods to Score A*/A1 in English

For: Child  (Primary 3-6 and Secondary 1 to 4)

The programme aims to enable pupils to acquire new vocabulary words so as to increase their word bank, which in turn will aid them in their cloze passage skills, as well as writing skills. Their teachers also aim to help our pupils boost their confidence in their learning of English as they sharpen their English. Students will be taught how to express themselves confidently and creatively, while enriching their vocabulary and grammer. Students will also be given Pre Test and Post Test to assess and ensure every child learns and improves.

When: 12 Dec 2009.

Duration:  1 day.  Saturday from 10am to 6pm.
