March School Holiday 2010 – What To Do?

Where to Go during March School Holiday?

School holiday is coming soon and you may already apply for leave and planning where to bring your kids during that one week holiday.  I have found some of the activities that you may be interested and give you some ideas how to spend time with your family.

St Patrick’s Day Parade 2010

The St Patrick’s Day Parade marks the patron saint of Ireland Saint Patrick and also the Irish National Day.  As a multi-cultural country, St Patrick’s Day is also celebrated here.  It brings together the Irish community in Singapore to commemorate this special day together.

Participating groups include local schools, international schools, Irish businesses and sporting and dance groups.  The groups parade with banners and music along the river from ACM ending up at UOB plaza where short performances will be displayed.

Last year’s parade drew over 3,500 participants, and this year’s event should see an even bigger, more riotous turnout. This year’s parade will make its way from the Asian Civilizations Museum, across the Singapore River, before ending at the UOB Plaza.

So come down and celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the Irish community here.  Just remember to turn up in green. Cheers!
