Tagging Game

My 8th Photos on My 8th Folder

Thanks to Monica who had tagged me and challenged me to play this game which in my opinion is kind of similar to the “Chain Letter”.   However she promised that I would receive no harm, curse or whatever even if I do not do it.   But I’m happy to be tagged and accept the challenge.

It’s a fun game which requires minimal effort and here are the rules :~
1. Go to your photo files, select the 8th photo folder
2. Select the 8th photo in that folder
3. Post that photo along with the story behind it
4. Then challenge 8 blogging friends to do the same!

Here is my photo.

Yes, you guessed it correct (without effort) that this is not in Singapore…. Singapore do not have snow or winter, it is almost sunny all year round.

This photo was taken just 1 month ago (April 2010) when I was in Finland.   Although there was plenty of sunshine on that evening, it was snowing earlier on that same morning.  Even with the sun shinning brightly, it was still pretty cold out there!

The picture was taken at the capital of Finland, Helsinki at the Market Square (Kauppatori).   I was walking along the Market Square which is a popular tourist place enjoying an evening scroll when I spotted this ship which is stuck in ice in the South port right in the Market Square.  It is an old small passenger ship, Nikolai II (named after last Tsar to reign over the Russia) which does sightseeing cruises in summer and operates as a bar and café in winter.  It is a very pretty steamer transformed into bar and cafe.     For most Singaporean, we could hardly believe a huge part of the sea or a whole lake being frozen with ice.   Here is a photo as a prove…. pretty cool (or should I say cold) huh?!  😉

Now, who are the 8 lucky person I could tag??thinksmug

EastCoastLife, Aldon Hynes, Yeo Kee Hui, Scotty’s Princess, vanillaseven, Evan’s Mom, Joops and Angel
