Traditional lantern-making with family and loved ones
For: Whole Family Editor’s Choice
I know how convenient it is to buy a ready made lantern in Singapore but nothing beats the unique design and satisfaction you get by making your own lantern. Together with your family and loved ones, come down to Esplanade and learn how to make traditional lanterns with bamboo and rice paper. From simplified forms to more elaborate ones – it is entirely up to your own creativity! At the end of each workshop you can also bring them along to Esplanade’s annual lantern walkabout.
Note: Bamboos may have splinters. Children would need supervision from adults. Participation is on first-come-first-served basis.
Date: 18 September 2010 (Saturday) – 19 September 2010 (Sunday)
Time: 2pm-7pm
Venue: Esplanade, Concourse
