Singapore Halloween 2010
Halloween is very popular in the Western countries and even though Singapore is a cosmopolitan country, this celebration is catching on slowly and seen as more of commercial driven than self-driven. I have never encountered any children knocking my door in Singapore asking for “Tricks or Treats” or seen any witches/monsters/vampires running happily around, even though I think that should be lots of fun. Locally, the closest we get is the Hungry Ghost Festival during the 7th Lunar Month but that is not the same.
However, it is not to say that we totally do not celebrate Halloween. In fact, Halloween is growing popular with the younger generation and the party-goers. To experience Halloween, you need to join some organized events or parties. Just visiting the Singapore Riverside and the many clubs and bars dotted along the Clarke Quay on the Halloween day will let you know how popular it has grown. Halloween this year falls on the Sunday, October 31st and here I have listed the top activities that your children and you can participate, wear your scariest costumes and get the thrills out of the little cute scary creatures. Wooooo……

That sounds like you have a lot of fun. I don't approve of the children going house to house. It has become too dangerous here in the USA.We stay home and watch scary movies. Of course we are old.
